Power steering issues help needed please

That's what comes up on EPS
Permission to feel just a tiny bit smug?
Somewhere between the DME and the EPS ECU the engine speed is not getting through, so the EPS thinks it is below 300rpm and shuts down.
Now.................... simply have to find out where the problem is.
I think we have to assume that was the original issue too, so nothing you've done by way of damaged plugs etc.
I'll see if I can find something on the wiring diagrams, but it confirms that extract from NewTIS I sent with the highlighting on it.

You definitely have issues with both airbag satellite modules. Were you able to view them separately?
SIM85 remains a doubt until we can clear the satellites.

Can't view them separately just the screenshots I showed
OK, i'll see what I can find regarding the engine speed signal.
Ideally you need to find someone near you with a code reader that can see the satellite modules individually.
In the meantime, get it dried out if you can, and while you're in there find the satellites, mounted vertically on the inside of the rear sills behind the seats, and get the part numbers off them for me. And the SIM85 if you can see it through that hole?

That's the SIM part number can't get to the pillars today as raining will try to remove seats tomorrow and have a look

How about this? Got any crankshaft sensor codes?
Although then it says it would gauge engine speed from the camshaft sensor?
Is the rev counter working?

On my little code reader it shows camshaft position sensor is faulty
Well that's on the list. Got to be worth a check of that first?
Unfortunately, once you know that something which 'might' be connected is faulty, you have to rule it out before you go any further.
There then comes the point where you have to decide whether to keep throwing money at it, or cut your losses.

Ok another little update I rerun the tests with the black plug from the SIM module unplugged only error that came up was the 2 showing on the gm5
Apart from that when rerunning the test it did show dme error crank shaft sensor maybe this could be the fault that I'm looking to not really too fussed about the airbags at the moment just want the engine running properly and the power steering working

OK, well that's pretty helpful. Crankshaft sensor first then.

My comments on the airbag system were meaning that you could spend ages getting it running and steering, then find the airbags are going to cost a lot of money.
I've hopefully given you a few ideas and you can plan it accordingly.

The reason all the airbag codes didn't appear was because you've disconnected the k-bus line from the SIM85 and it is that which carries the error codes to the OBD port.

Ok make sense now will replace the crank sensor tomorrow and report back with the results fingers crossed will get some good results thanks for all your help I would have been lost without you
