No but I drive like I'm drunk, deploying pot hole avoidance manoeuvres, weaving across the road.
There's some evil ones near me. I got a little dink last year on rear nearside wheel. I'll have to get it fixed at some point.
 
Theres a really sharp edged one newr me, just as you leave a 40mph zone to go onto a dual carridgeway, its right there the drivers side wheels would be and of you hit it, theres an almighty bang. I hot it once and now I always go in the other lane. I know we will feel bumps more in our type of cars, but the state of all UK roads is just a joke.
 
You should report it via fixmystreet.com . It works for me in Manchester, where the roads can be rubbish. I reported some collapsing manhole covers just over a week ago and they're both sorted now.
 
Completely agree, it's when a new one has appeared on a route you regularly drive that I hate. I know which ones to avoid then a new one crops up and *WHAM*, although it's a source of personal pride when I successfully avoid a new one......little things :oops:

I feel your pain Carol!

Makes it so tempting to have a set of less than glamorous wheels with nice chunky tires for daily use!
 
I would also add in level crossings to that list - there is one in Metheringham that is the most un-level crossing I've every come across - any faster that 5mph and you get scraping!
 
On a main road near me (A264), driving along and in the middle a massive (invisible in the dark) hole. The bank was rather loud.

No damage to the alloy, but you can see how this run flat tyre must have hit the wheel:



This is on the Abarth (which has not had it's suspension replaced for the second time yet in 10 months ...)
 
Most County Councils invite you to register any highway complaints such as pot holes eg

They may not know they exist until you report it.

As for mud fit some flaps which help a lot in minimising mud up the cars side and rear bumper. More importantly helps reduce sill damage :)

It's the ones hidden by the recent rain I was most worried about - worst potholes I remember were on that road from middle of Loch Ness to Skye in 2009... long fast sweeps with blind potholes... was if Woots had been on a bombing run

:poke: Are you driving like a rude boy again PVR? Yeap, can see the impact of the tyre on the metal, pretty scary! Always makes you intake a breath when you hear something loud. Glad the wheel was alright.
