And why do other idiots go out of their way to drive through a puddle?
Not knowing what lies beneath.

Yep, they are useless. I'm aware of where to report pot holes but there's no point really.
Do you live in Shropshire too?

Report any highway damage the sooner it will be repaired and less vehicle damage so there is a point.

You don't have experience of Shropshire County Council. There is no point.
They fix the hole as cheaply as possible, within days the filling washes out and its back to how it was and most often than not, worse.

You've got to love it the way recently a resurface involves spreading bitumen over a knackered road, sprinkle stone chips, allow the cars to press it all in whilst bthe cars get a beating and Amy houses nearby face cracked windows, followed by a finishing sweep a fee days after. Only for the road to collapse again a year later . superb engineering, how can they stand back and feel like they've done a good day's work.pvr said:The whole method of building roads in the UK is wrong anyway, perhaps they can send a few engineers to mainland Europe to learn how to make a road properly. Spreading tarmac on a bit of sand is not going to work.
Do it once, do it properly.
