Interesting that the Aero skirts really don't look too good in this photo - just looks like a random crease that jars with the rest of the design of the lower door curve...

I've always thought this but was worried if I said that, others would be like you have standard kit so that's crap. On my car being silver its really noticeable the creases and fold on the door more. I think the aero line in skirt spoils that those other lines above and isn't necessary. I've seen a few aero now to compare I've never seen the big thing about that kit

see what i mean it really doesn't need an extra crease below silver really shows off the lines more i just don't think it suits having a crease in skirt takes away the nice door lines I think and ruins that bottom crease to the door looks better without aero kit i think

I think youre trying to say that silver Zeds dont need Aero kits as the door line is alrady emphasized ?

However, in this pic the door looks good but the sill could still do with another effect on it, I think.

yeah that what i mean it doesn't need another line below the door it spoils the curve of the door and lines already there

here are examples just like the E46 aero kit is abit hit or miss i think its the same for e85 just doesn't need another crease below the door looks nicer with flat skirt to appreciate the lines in the door more

+1  Aero skirts are completely unnecessary and expensive IMO also !

I've always thought the pre facelift was also better looking than the facelift too. The pre rear bumper is better has nice lines and the front facelift bumper has that silly reflector each side on the corners what's that all about looks odd to me..

Back from holiday and the Z is eagerly awaiting some nice weather to get the roof down!

I can actually see the same style lines along the side & humped rear arches as E85 E89

Gorgeous is the word, absolutely love it.

What engine would you put in a retro one Jim? M V8 for me.

That is a beautiful car and I guess in todays car market, £1m isn't a lot of money!
Bmw are good at making timeless cars and when I bought my Z3m from BMW in Highgate, they had a couple of Z8's which I fell in love with but where way out of my price range. My brother told me they would frequently buy them back from there customers after a year or so, put 10K on the old price and sell them again! I guess thats why they are well over 100K now :?
