Oh I bet that was fun

I’ve had some fun around Phillip island track I’m my bosses 68 mustang track car. 450bhp and no traction control, it was so much fun

Haven’t been on in awhile, but have been busy with moving our life to Sydney. Purchased the obligatory sun shade to protect the extended leather. I currently have the grossest plates, so will change them to something that is the same width as our Euro-style plates.

Extrablatt, you should have asked for white plates to be fitted when you had it imported. They threatened to fit the ghastly yellow ones to my Zed too
Where in Sydney are you?

If only I’d known I could ask for the white plates :headbang:. While I waited for my car, I saw those ugly yellow ones and was dreading seeing them, never mind the extra holes drilled in my front bumper.

Ah well, lesson learned, I’ll get onto myplates and order some. It wasn’t clear if that was an annual fee for the restyled ones, or a one-off fee.

I’m up in Seaforth, how about you?

Good thinking - birds flying overhead will see that sunshade and think the car's already been crapped on, and move on to another target. Paintwork saved
 :fuelfire:

[ref]enzed4[/ref], it’s okay, I’m not offended, since I’m not an Aussie. I saw it, thought it was ridiculous and had to buy it.

I asked them to use double sided tape to fit my plates to avoid more holes, but I still have the plinth at the front that is big enough to carry a UK plate. When I have time, I’ll get a personalised plate in blue, have the plinth removed and have the front bumper resprayed.
If you use one of the standard patterns of numbers and letters eg XYZ 12A or AB 12 CD then it’s a one off fee for a new plate. If you want a truly personalised plate then there’s an annual fee (which I think is $400) and the purchase price of the plate eg a friend of mine has SEA.
We’re in Neutral Bay, just the other end of Military Road from you.

[ref]BMWZ4MC[/ref], ha, that’s cool, you’re pretty close by! Well if you see a Mineral White about, then it’s likely me.

I saw a white e89 at Warringah Mall last week, I was hoping he was leaving his parking spot, but I still gave him a thumbs up.

If I was switching teams the Mk2 SLK350 would be high on the transfer list

SLK350.jpg

Its a slick looking motor with retractable hard top, but doesn't have the classic kerb appeal of the more muscular Zed.
