Washed and clayed the SORNmobile and fitted a new outdoor cover - a Classic Additions Ultimate. Not quite custom fit but nice and stretchy and very well made.

I asked whether they would do a discount for forum members and they said they’ll do 10%. Speak to Adrian. :)

Not the only one thinking that. :?

Not my garage, fellas!

Just parked up at my folks’ house while my wife and I move out of our flat. It was either this or teaching my dad how to clean the “birdbath”.

How / why do you plan to modify it?

I'd really like to keep my 235/40 fronts, but they rub on the lower lip of the duct where it meets the wheel arch. It's been difficult to blow/roll the arch liner and the duct together, so I'm going to 3d print an insert for the duct that replaces the lower edge of it and allows more clearance. In the future I might close off the arch aperture altogether and print a part that feeds some flexible hose that cools the inside of the brakes directly (exdos-stylee).

That plus it's a chance to learn a few new skills during the cold winter months and I'm a sucker for a stupid project. :D
I missed this when you posted it. Sounds interesting. I have cooling ducts running from the front bumper based on Exdos’s setup and they seem to help on tracks that are heavy on the brakes.

Thanks BeeEmm. The Angel of the South made me move here because she didn’t like the rain in England!
And now you enjoy scorching heat/humidity, smoke from bush fires, insane house prices, funnel webs, flying cockroaches (I still have nightmares), to name just a few attractions.
Ah, the Lucky Country

But at least you don't get English rain....

Bit of a tight squeeze this morning at the NCP car park in Birmingham centre - dare I look at the alloy :?

A way to stop people keying one side of your car at least.

Getting ready to drive on the Charlotte International Race Track last Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This was a charity event which allows you to drive three laps on this 2-1/2 mile high banked NASCAR track. You typically drive the track with 7 other cars behind a pace car. The corners are banked 50 degrees and its a fun experience.
