Guys,

Cars going in for Insp II soon and at the same time i tell them about any possible warranty work.

For the past month my drivers side xenon has been intermitant. I will start the car and drive off and it will be on. It then may go off during the journey. If i flick the lights off/on - it doesnt come on unless i do the same like over 20 times. Its very random. Other side is perfect.

Having read some posts i understand my issue is likley to be the controller (ballast?) rather than the bulb itself.

1) Is a swap over with the other side an easy job?
2) Has anybody with a post facelift car had to replacement a xenon on this forum?

Oh and my cupholder has broken on drivers side - secondtime in ownership :)

Cheers
Jamie

Contact member "Aliv6" - IIRC he had issues with his xenons which results in bulb replacement and/or ballast.

I've replaced the bulbs, it's really not too much of a hassle.

There is an access flap in each front wheel well. Just turn the wheel to give yourself more clearance, open the flap (there's a tab that rotates to "unlock" it), and then you have access to the rear of the headlight. The ballast twists to release from the bulb (there are markings on the back for which direction to turn to open/close), and then the bulb is held in with the usual spring clips.
