Typo? 520?

I think it's silly to make your car look like something it's not. I have a few M badges, but not by choice. I liked the look of the M wheels so have the little stickers and also an M steering wheel so again has the sticker on it.

I doesn't bother me that much and I guess let live, etc, but noooo f*cking way should that "F430 replica" be on the road! That is disgraceful! I don't care what people think, that is just wroooong!! Don't agree with me... Imagine getting picked up from school with that!

When I was 17 I had a bog standard 850cc mini and I stuck a Cooper S badge on the back. Looking back I must have looked a complete

But hey, who gives a toss

Holy cow! That USB thing looks like the monster from 20,000 leagues under the sea. Could be dangerous to small kids and pets. I've seen fewer noodles on a plate of spaghetti.

Can't understand why some people can get in such a lather about others sticking an M badge on a non-M zeds - I couldn't give a toss - its a free country - I wouldn't do it personally as its not to my taste but it's not hurting anyone - then there's the other extreme - "debadging " - what's all that about ? Are there any M owners who debadge their cars ? ?

i only got one B/W ///M badge on the bootlid. all done by previous owners and I would not replace them as I think it looks perfect IMO.

I would never stick one of those common old /;^M badge thingybobs on my Alpina, that would be frightful behaviour. I told Jeeves the butler that if he did I would frog march him down the driveway and out of the grounds.

Always loved what were affectionally known as 'Q' cars in the UK, interesting to hear they're called 'sleepers' in the USA so great story earlier about that Vette, something that looked normal on the outside but underneath lurked a fire breathing dragon... understood this is where the //M marque originated from, that little badge subtly saying to those in the know don't frak with me brother, or you'll regret it.

I've got a //M badge on me knob, errr meant gear knob & another in small writing on the number plate next to GMBH, so I say do what rocks yr boat with badges, not bothered if you needs a badge to make you happy

Thanks Tom,

I was very happy with the less is more look, a custom black/white M badge is all that's required.
How's the car running, I still miss it.

Hi Adam, car is running really good no problems at all except minor diff oil change... done 6k miles since as I'd like to drive this thing everywhere :) so much fun... how is the csl? Still thinking of changing it back for the Z ?
I was looking on ebay for the first two weeks for the wing badges but realized it looks much better without them.. and most of the time other drivers see only back of my car anyway :D

Sorry for late reply, don't get much time for the forums

CSL is wonderful piece of kit, it really covers all the bases I look for In a car, the only thing I don't like is age, my old car/your car felt modern and solid. The CSL is nearly 10 yrs old and more things are bound to go wrong.
I do consider returning to Z4mc ownership every month and keep an eye prices, but I know id miss the noise, handling, poise of the M3.

An e46 CSL (SMG and silver) is the only car I'd consider swapping mine for

However my mate won't entertain the idea as he insists he needs the 4 seats for wife & child - piffle

Pulled up next to a 2.0 Z4 with an M badge on the boot. Looked over, shook my head, but he was steadfastly looking straight ahead. I think he'd clocked me!
