The 08 felt like a failed relationship. I left her there at the stealership. Told the owner to collect her.

I've decided I need a DFI engine so the 981 was a logical progression... although this is getting expensive... I suppose that's what I meant about living with a Porsche - everything costs more then BMW.

The 987 gen 2 got the DFI engine, according to https://www.porscheclubgb.com/regions-registers/registers/modern/boxster/boxster-buyers-guides/987-buyers-guide from 2009 on, which was what I thought.

The car you shared is nice, although in white I think a red interior and black wheels would look more striking. I like the Boxster in more striking colours, like the red, yellow, and blues.

If I were you, and this is just how I see things, I'd sell the z4 and put the money in to a 981. There's too much crossover between the two to make it worth having both so if you like the way the 981 drives then take the plunge and don't look back.

The rear axle is a fair point for failure :lol: I was expecting it to be rusty discs and a worn bush or two!

I sadly put the Z4 up for sale. The Z4 and Boxa are really the same type of weekend car for me and I need the floor space.

I was searching for a Cayman when I came upon the Z4 and settled on the E89. It is a completely civilized lovely touring roadster.
But the itch won't go away, the Boxster has mid engine balance, better power to weight ratio, hydraulic steering, and it is still a convertible. The one I found has a lot of goodies. PASM, Sport Chrono, Sport exhaust button, heated sport seats, leather, Bose. Driver magazines call it one of the best driving cars ( not trying to start an argument here) :lol:

I had a 981 cayman and its a glorious car..

Very well engineered,can go around a corner like nothing else i have owned and costs peanuts to run..

The 981 boxster looks a bit of a pig,the lines are ruined but some just love the weather on their barnet.

Every review I've read agrees with you when it comes to the unrivaled cornering ability of the wider, longer, stiffer 981.
Then they go on to lament the loss of a visceral connection with the road like the 987.2 had. :lol: Both good cars from what I read.
So looking forward to this car.
