Porsche 718....

Are we all experts or layman?

Yes for sure I knew about the 4 cylinder engine and the sound and I love the V6. But this doesn't sound too bad. And what's to complain about with a 0-60 of 4.7 secs with a PDK and Chrono Pack like the one I have.

Any other better suggestions for a sports car apart from my 981 3.4S? I'm tempted to change now

981 GTS.

A couple next door to me have one , looks great but sounds like a washing machine . I looked at them before buying my slc , merc suits my needs much better and it sounds great compared to the Porsche . Plus it was a bargain compared to the Porsche , although I'll say it before anyone else , the Porsche will hold its value better . But I bought it to keep it so it doesn't make a great deal of difference to me .

that new Nav tho........ wow..... porsche is just killing the sector right now... yeah it may not sound the best but... tbh... nor does the wonderful s54..... cant wait to see the new GT versions!!

Not too sure where you're coming from with the S54 bit. Compared to the new 4cyl boxers it sounds a million dollars.

Thing with the 140/135 or 235 is the quality of the interiors the materials and options are poor compared to the bigger brothers. I test drove one really liked the way it drove. But they certainly arent good looking (not offensive but not memorable you wouldnt look at one and think fwwwoorr) and the interior didn't come close. The M2 for example the spec sheet is completely bare and for 60k+ feels like an entry level car.

The new porsche variants have the whole package now, the tech is right up there and the drive is best in class. The reason to get a BMW over one is price and tech but now BMW aren't competing for the time being they dont have anything comparible.

TBH im not overly keen on the sound but again I think its something you start to love but the rest of the car... gorgeous.

I thought the M2 was fantastic, and I don't personally see anything wrong with the interior? It is definitely functional and Porsche have the edge admittedly. I would rather the M2 drive chain and engine over the 4 pot Porsche.
