I'm new to all this I was going to T-Cut the whole car and then Use Auto Glym Polish ?

T-cut yuk!! So 1990's

Products have come a long way since then. Having said that there are so many out there i think people get confused what's what and when to use it. Remember polish is generally for taking swirls and scratches out. T cut and PB's blackhole are more fillers. You wouldnt want to use a polish after that as youd be pulling the product back out the swirls again. If anything ud do it the other way around but the key is to seal in the hard work afterward with a good sealant and/or wax this will also protect the paint.

If anything invest in a good washing and drying set up if you want to avoid swirls and scratches. It saves a lot of the hard work if you can avoid them in the first place. 2 buckets (one soapy, one clean with a grit guard), a good quality wash mitt (ideally lambs wool), good quality soap to act as a lubricant, and good clean plush drying towels

I had every intention of Claying my car but never actually did.
1 coat of BLACK HOLE all over the car (fills the swirls) gave the bonnet 2 coats.
Then WAX, again 1 coat all over, 2 on the bonnet.

I really must express, this goes on SO easy. Other products iv done by hand are a NIGHTMARE and need so much effort to apply and buff off, but both these go on with ease! Really shouldn't take more than 25-30min max to do both.

Brilliant thanks for that your right I haven't polished a car since the 90's always had company cars so very much out of touch !

I will treat myself to some Poorboys everyone seems to rave about it ! And two buckets !!

So you don't let the product cure on the color after you apply it? You just apply and then buff it without any waiting time? I want to try the product (PB black hole) but i was wondering if i can use this http://www.nanolex.de/en/washcoat as a sealant instead of the wax you propose. I've been using this product for along time now and it is an outstanding sealant protection. My only concern is that if you apply the PB product and then rinse the car with this sealant ( must be applied with a foam lance) wouldn't it wash PB away while applying the sealant? What do you think?

I dont remember saying "you don't let the product cure"
Started on oneside and worked myway to the back 'applying' (to clarify), then when 1 side was done, back to where i started to buff off.
Then repeat on the other side
then repeat on the bonnet and wings

Doesnt take long, and by the time you have moved from the front of the car to the back its dried to a haze.

Used Black Hole and Nattys Blue Wax on my Z4 and MX5 this weekend and I am very pleased with the results. Was so easy to use compared to some products I have used. Anyways, pictures speak a thousand words so:
