especially if you remember the spark plug incident.
This keeps being brought up...just to be clear all I did wrong was try to use a straight 'plug socket' as wasn't aware they needed a 'special' socket. I bought the correct socket and completed the plugs in about 10 minutes.

I also replaced the rear discs and pads on the E89 without the need for anything to put the electric handbrake into 'service mode', having never encountered an e-brake before.

I do like to play the fool on here at times but I am not stupid and am a quick learner! So there! :P

I have built houses from scratch on my own but this is a completely new area for me.
Use some of that expertise, you could start with a log burning stove. Perhaps not as that would need a chimney. I don't know though, it would look different. :D

I did install a stove in my last garage (it was a bit bigger at 50m2) but it cost a lot of money in flue materials.
I had access to almost unlimited ash wood (the best) as lived right next to a spinney which was unmanaged.
Also potentially a bit dangerous with naked flames in a confined space with a car in it! Don't think my (snooty) neighbours would be too impressed either as their house is about 3ft from my garage.

I see that could be a problem. How about a brick extension to the rear, or am I just being silly now? No wait, Solar panels on the roof would negate the need for a battery. Brilliant!

3 to 6 months max, he will start taking stuff off and think, nah, too much hassle and put it all back and sell it in April 2024

That is a major worry, I will admit!
It's a big job, most of which I have absolutely no clue of how to do........yet!

How much was the deposit on the kit/interior and how long until delivery and full payment?… I don’t think I can answer until I have clarity on this point :?

I’m going to stick my neck out then and say you’ll finish it, if you can build a house you can build a car

So when you buy the remains from him, do I get your Alpine then?

I keep hearing this but the skills and knowledge required are very very different.

You don't hurtle along a motorway in your house, wondering if you got all the bolts tight.
