Commute 75 miles a day 3 days a week. Car share the other 2 days. Buying an ///M soon so the plan is to take my old diesel Nissan Almera one day a week(or cycle a day...I have done this in the past)....the reality will probably be very different!

Never understood the logic of a weekend car...if you total up the overall cost per hour of fun it must be horrendous!

once a week to work and at weekends only for me. two small kids and a wife means that its not always possible even at weekends :o

Does mean that I look forward to driving it when I do :D

Drive it every single day, to work, to the shops, going out. Only take my other car, a 21 year old Mutsubishi Lancer (f**k yeah!) if i need to carry something bulky or if the Z is in the shop for whatever reason.

Daily drive for me.

5 days a week to and from work. If I'm in the Cardiff office then it is only 10 miles a day, if I'm in Bristol then it is 80 miles a day. Now the 50mph limit is almost fully removed from the M4 around Newport, the commute is fun again :D

I drive it occassionally on weekends, if not I can be found cruising in a Ford Galaxy TDi with my wife and children!

My prevous Z was used every day but that meant doing 15-16,000 miles per year. I want to keep the miles down on this one so have purchased a cheap low mileage car for going to work. Wish i could rive it every day but petrol costs and the wear and tear put me off. As my second car only cost £2,500 I think it made sense.

Also i am planning a European road trip this year so that will add a few miles onto it anyway

Bought a cheap runaround during the winter when the weather was bad for commuting, and still use it most of the time. The Z is only used for meangingful drives like taking it for a blast through the countryside and driving aimlessly for miles :driving: :D

I try not to as I want to keep the mileage down and also make it a bit more special when I do drive it, however it doesnt always work out and I have to take it for mundane trips!

Nope, company Passat for work and Z4 for weekend, I'll use the Z for work if it's not to far, Diesel in the Passat is mostly free, looking forward to ordering a 318d estate later in the year.

The Z4 is my only car and daily driver, bought to replace my 1.6 Focus. Running costs are higher but it's nothing unexpected. Missed the Focus when we had the bad weather, I would've had no trouble with it in the snow whereas the Z4 was a nightmare of paranoia and inability - winter tyres might have helped but I guess I should've been better prepared. Have contemplated getting a junker for the commute to/from the office, but it'll be a while before the fuel savings offset the outlay for extra tax, ins, maintenance. If I do get one, it'll have to do everything I couldn't do with the Z4, probably be something like an old 3 Series touring.

i have a golf for work, it p*ss's me off that the golf is 100 times better in terms of stero stuff, its got dvd player, multi cd, etc etc, the zed is the crappy business cd

Where do you put the two dogs, the groceries, the kids, the stuff from the gardening store, etc etc. Have you ever listened to the sounds at a shopping center? It resembles the Anvil Chorus. Bang, bang, bang, door ding after door ding. No I would be mad to drive my beloved Zed everyday.

My Zed is my toy, right up 'till last week when my Ford TDCi family motor developed a mystery power loss, the Zed has saved the day as daily transport and I'm discovering what a super practical car it is......for two anyway. The boot takes masses and I'm getting 36mpg. No sign of the Ford being fixed yet which is ironic as it's half the age of the Zed.

I've no dogs, no kids, no garden and I dont eat.... :D

OK, I do buy groceries. I park miles away from the entrance (keeps you fit) and usually shop around 11pm. Still a risk I know. My old RX8 got dinged in a Tesco car park. I still have nightmares about it.

Aliens...

Yes when I'm home, which is about 12 weeks a year.
But before that everyday to and from work, supermarket, garden centre. I bought it to use it not park it in a garage under a cover.
And my other car is a motorbike.

My Z4MR is used everyday by my wife. I have a company car so only get to use the Z4M at weekends!

Only used for sunny days and weekends, our other car is a Mazda 6.If we only had one car the Z would have to go as its not that practical for every day use.

Everyday. That means winter, too. With four snow tires it goes anywhere. Well, almost anywhere.
