Presumably, being American, they've put a V8 in there and, having destroyed the balance, tried to compensate by moving the cooling to the back. Or simply wanting a radiator that's too tall. It's not as if the Z4 engine bay would be too short!

Try a Google reverse image search to see if it crops up on a real web site.

A V8 is shorter, only 4 cyl so there would be more room up front for a radiator, it is strange though.
Perhaps a track car of some kind? Not sure how he is going to get any air movement unless he drives with the trunk lid open.

On the FB page there where some more photos
The boot is full of radiators for engine cooling
The front of the car has a home made pipe/tubular bumper standard bumper had been removed
It looked like a large engine maybe turbo'd

The owner did explain why in the comments below the photo on FB

Not a new thing to put the radiators and other things in the boot Audi did just that for the group B monsters

The FB poster was selling the storage bags

I have not seen any like that before

The storage bags are real OEM BMW bags for E85/E86. Maybe the two fans in the trunk are meant to cool the content of these bags? 😉

If the link to FB works read the comments for more info

That will be the search link I used back to try harder

It looks like a drift build, biggish turbo, big tube bumper at the front housing an, air to air intercooler and an air to oil cooler on the side so the main rad moved to the trunk :driving:
