Picked up Senwar's MC today

Picked up Senwar's old MC today (well not that old). This car is such a credit to that guy. I've spent a lot of time looking for an MC and there are so many abused cars out there. Worn interiors, bad repairs, cigarette smells, dodgy history etc etc.

There were a couple of very minor points that I was picky about but the dealer sorted it all out without complaint. The car itself is outstanding.

I could have been home in a few hours but took the long way home through the Peak District - great roads, great car mid week with virtually no traffic. Does it get better than this?

Apologies for the cliche but this is the car the Z4 should have been. No tramlining, instant throttle response, understeer significantly dialed out. That sound. The brakes. The brakes are incredible for a road going car.

All this in a car with old technology.

Thanks to this forum for helping me identify the good from the bad. Thanks to Senwar for looking after the car so well. I hope you had fun.

Like a kid with a new toy. I don't have to drive into work today, I could work from home but I've just got this nagging feeling I should go into the office today :driving:

Congrats mate!! Well pleased for you.

I'm going to show this post to my dad, as he used to criticise me in my younger days for not looking after my cars! Take that dad! :D

Hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I did, and hopefully will get the chance to see it again soon. Brilliant motor - and I'm a little envious.... !

Enjoy :driving:

It's things like this that really make these forums for me. Well looked after cars being handed on to like minded people.

Good to hear a car being passed onto another enthusiast. I guess it happened via a garage?

My roadster was previously owned by a Z4-forum member too, but they only really posted on here very occasionally (less than 100 posts over a 2-year period) so not quite the same as senwar :D. I did seach the web and found my previous owner's username on other forums where he was far more active - forums are great for stuff like that! I'm sure folk could do the same with me too...

If you search Youtube under "Senwar's Donuts", you can find some really interesting footage.
 just kidding of course!

Doesn't matter anyway, he flocked those (kerbed) alloys anyway
