Picked my Cayman up today.

Congratulations Lux — that is gorgeous 8)

Wee Bing fell in love with the Cayman in the summer when we went to Stuttgart.

He wants one in yellow :|

Excuse me I racked up 2400 miles :D

Tim.

I was going to make a comment like that but I didn't want you to call me a sarcastic git.

I hope you've not sat down and calculated the £'s / mile :o

Looks lovely- Agate Grey ?

The 981 is a great car - was away with a fair few the other weekend and the more I see them I think it will be what I'll go for next when the time comes .

Whats the Spec ?

Every day and think it's only money, you can't take it with you :)

Tim.

Never a more true statement- that's why my wife got a new high spec 335 xd with a load of toys that she didn't really need!

Yep agate grey, 20" platinum finish Carrera S wheels, PDK, sports steering wheel in alcantara, parking sensors front and rear, sound package, auto dim rear mirror and rain sensor wipers, mobile phone prep, & smoked tail lights (think that's it, had to stop somewhere!)
Slipped up up a bit though as the dealer said I could play my music from my iPod through the aux output, and whilst it does play you can't control it via the touch screen. :x going to see if they can do anything about this as the salesman got it a bit wrong.

I've got my Silverstone day next Friday too, really looking forward to that.

Doesn't look like it Ron, spoken to PVR about it and taken a look tonight but nothing! :(
Going to have to see if one can be wired in.

Agate Grey with smoked rear light looks the business - one of my driving buddies from up here has the same spec very cool.

Silverstone will be great - we had lunch when we went and a fair mount of time time to mulch around the showroom looking at the 919 and 918 they had in at the time. level of instruction is very high with Mrs Jax instructor being Richard Attwood who won lemans in 1970.

The 981 is becoming very popular in the local owners club up with us as can be seen in this photo from a recent outing...

The Yellow one is owned by a Porsche Club board member so Wee Bing is in good company !

I agree with you , there is a real need to play and control your own music.
Sometimes buying a new car, things slip thro the net - we missed the electrically adjustable seats on her 335. I had specced one up, done a few changes and just plain missed it on the list !
The real disappointment wasn't the seat adjustment but the lumbar support !
