Picked my Cayman up today.

I love Caymans, but the only thing which puts me off is that a 2 seater is a real compromise anyway - therefore I can't own a 2 seater which isn't a convertible. Enjoy, looks the business

Looks lovely- Agate Grey ?

The 981 is a great car - was away with a fair few the other weekend and the more I see them I think it will be what I'll go for next when the time comes .

Whats the Spec ?

Yep agate grey, 20" platinum finish Carrera S wheels, PDK, sports steering wheel in alcantara, parking sensors front and rear, sound package, auto dim rear mirror and rain sensor wipers, mobile phone prep, & smoked tail lights (think that's it, had to stop somewhere!)
Slipped up up a bit though as the dealer said I could play my music from my iPod through the aux output, and whilst it does play you can't control it via the touch screen. :x going to see if they can do anything about this as the salesman got it a bit wrong.

I've got my Silverstone day next Friday too, really looking forward to that.

Good call speccing the sports steering wheel as the standard wheel looks, well a little underwhelming to say the least :( and the chrome accents looks miles better. Nice ploy by Porsche. Can you spec the sports wheel seperately on the configurator Steve as when I looked I couldn't see it unless it comes with one of the packs.

Tim you can usually retrofit the steering wheel if its not in the right pack- i had a sports wheel fitted to the 997 by Porsche before i picked it up

I specced the wheel without any pack, but not sure if you need the PDK option first!?

Thats what they do, make it complicated and work on the fact " oh its only a few quid extra, Im spending a lot and an extra few £££'s doesn't matter"!

Thanks for that, I specced the PDK Option but the config pic didn't change to show the sports wheel so wasn't sure, might just be a naff configurator, the BMW configurator can be like that sometimes and doesn't show the spec change :|

Lovely car. Once I get my housing issues in order, we will going Cayman or Boxster GTS. I am tempted to keep the M for a track day toy back that seems like sacrilege. Otherwise I was going to go 330 Clubsport but by the time I hjave stripped it out and made upgrades, we should have just used the M.

The Cayman will be a weekend toy for best. Got to retain an M in my life too somehow..!!

Great colour combo, these things look even better in the flesh, the coupe roofline just resolves into the rear better than previous version, nice one
