I don't think they stand out as much on darker finishes, but instead I love the subtle changes they add to the lines of the car.

You say that but if you look at the pictures the bottom of the door curves out. The aero skirt continues this line where as the factory skirt doesn’t. You could argue it’s how the car should have left the factory in the first place.
