If they don't mind eating the windscreen pillar as I grab their arm, pull hard and smash their face into it!!step_change said:Why, in a convertible car, would you make it so easy for some low-life to reach into your car at traffic lights and steal your mobile and be off on their bike within a second?

Do you think you'll have time to do that? One second it'll be there the next gone and they'll be off into the crowd on their bike with you at the traffic lights wondering what just happened.....AnubisZed said:If they don't mind eating the windscreen pillar as I grab their arm, pull hard and smash their face into it!!step_change said:Why, in a convertible car, would you make it so easy for some low-life to reach into your car at traffic lights and steal your mobile and be off on their bike within a second?![]()
Have you ever tried to lean into the car to the centre of the dash? Even more so if you have the windows up! Not a chance!!step_change said:Do you think you'll have time to do that? I'm playing with you. I appreciate what you are saying. Yes it is a concern, but I'm not running my life worrying constantly if some low-life piece of scum is going to nick my phone. I am cautious of my surroundings while driving especially in certain areas as you never know.step_change said:Dave, they open the passenger door - or smash the window - and are in and out in a second. I don't want to go on, just making people aware of the dangers of having expensive valuables being displayed prominently on one of those phone holders. I've had mates been done over like this and how "tough" the driver is has nothing to do with it; these thieves are like lightning.
That happened to me some years ago, I was sitting in traffic with my girlfriend, and this Italian guy on a scooter stopped next to the car and within seconds, she was gone, sitting on the back of the scooter. Never saw her again. So, don't leave your mobile on the dashboard, you just never know.step_change said:Dave, they open the passenger door - or smash the window - and are in and out in a second.
