Ben Cole - think it used to live in the desert! Well its one owner car but think they lived on a farm with the crud I found in the boot and other crevasses! Still dont believe the engine bay had been touched cleaning wise in all of its life. . . she will soon be pampered like she deserves! :)

Haha... look after it!!!

Glad you got to work under the bonnet  that was nasty .
Car looks terrific , not sure it would have been on 108,s as standard fayre so previous owners have done you a favour 8)
Welcome to all things Z , great cars/great forum

Nice looking car OP. engine bay will look much better when dressed.

Regarding the 108's they were a factory option for most models and standard for none.

I think gun metal CSL's on this colour would look great! Still undecided on them or BBS CH-R's (ones with a dish) again with a graphite centre. Have to wait and see do a few photoshop jobbies!

Yeh the engine will be alot better after a second clean and dressing. Although I do get strange looks from neighbours when they see me polishing the underside of the bonnet!! :crazydude:

StevenH72 - that does go well. . . miy use that car later to do a photoshop. Darken them up but also put them onto my car and again darken them up. Will report back with pictures!!

Although agree silver looks good on the coupe but on the roadster with the black roof think will tie all in nicely. Will see. . . wheels are such a dilemma to choose as a big part of the overall look of the car!! Hmmmm

Scotty

Those matt anthracite CSL's are lush

Sure some nice chap on here can photoshop darker wheels on that coupe to give you a better indication

sars - those are nearly 100% what l il be going for I think!! Think will set the colour off well and as posted want to add a few carbon fibre bits here and there will all tie in. Now to find a rims and tyre deal or a place which does tyres at nice prices.

Sure its been done and will do a search but what is a good offset - ET etc for a nice wide looking rims? Was originally wanting 10's on the rear. Although the above are the completely wrong size as 8 and 8 1/2 so a no go. But if I can find some of the above that are 9.5's il be happy but want 10's I think I know not much but still . . extra half an inch most men would kill for! :P

Welcome, That is a beauty! You are correct about the seats and the steering wheel. Mine is the same model/engine and also came from the factory with corroded 108's :x

Can I throw a spanner in the workings of your mod list and say that by far the mod that will improve the enjoyment/feel of driving the car is the ZHP gear knob? Might not sound like much but grabbing at a firmly padded chunky bit of leather feels so much better than the plastic tat BMW supply with the car.

Hope you have deep pockets, once you start down the path of "subtle" mods on a Z, you won't be able to stop!

Oh my days...... This started as a couple of bits for 50-100 squids. Then grew to Eibach prokit, CSL reps, full tints, debadge, vred's, stubby etc etc..... And after this weekend the guys at the midlands meet have convinced my to go for a new front bumper (they just turned up and I convinced myself), which will probably grow to a full Hamman kit....... A divorce will be cheaper!!

But I love it!!!!!!

Silver . .

Gunmetal . .

Black . .

Not the greatest photoshop but get the idea. . . .

Scotty

I think so too! Really works with the colour of the hood. :) Now where is my piggy bank need to get smashing!!

Oh and how silly do I look. . . just looked at the original images I stole from the net. . and . . this is actually a scale model photo'd in macro with some fancy editing. . . still does the job to represent what im looking for!! Ha ha

Lol, still does the job just fine.

Could you photoshop the coupé as well, I'd love to see what it'd look like with gunmetal CSLs??

Il do the coupé shortly. :)

I know it does the job but smile when I had found the pictures thinking yay. . . now I find myself trawling the internet trying to find the model so I can buy it!

Scotty

Here you go done quickly. If you would like them better, or darker etc, can do so this evening not a problem.

Not the best photoshop again sorry.

Silver csl- I always think darker wheels look like they need a wash -just MHO. Also think the fashion for darker wheels will go and then your left needing a repaint to not look old, again MHO. Go with what ultimately you think looks best.

Paddy Wright - not a a problem everyone has different opinions. Be certainly boring if we didn't and if we did don't think id be heading off home in a PY Z4 soon! :) Silver is always a classic choice wont ever change or go wrong but must admit something about the gunmetal that I think just makes it stand apart. Then again im from the jap car scene and the wheel choice and colour left alot to be imagined at times! :)

I think il be going with the gunmetal if I sway to the CSL's however do like BBS CH-Rs too. . . be a tough call to make!
