Phoenix Yellow. .lets see how this goes! New rims on page 4!

Thanks guys. They actually look more 'chunkier' in the picture than they actually are. I think they really suit my car just the way they are so im happy.

andysat - will be eyeing up a quad or atleast twin side exhaust at some point as the standard 2.0 tip isn't flattering at all! :)

Those wheels work so well on the Z4!

I'm glad you didn't go for a set of CSL's! (no offence to all those running csl's)

Now you need some low!

Love the wheels love the colour love your look in that white vest!!!

I could help out on the exhaust but it's so much work!! I could help with some better looking tips once I am up and running in my workshop

NeilP - It was yours I believe and one other that swayed me this way. Same mindset about the CSL's no doubt they are nice rims but I wanted something different! Oh and more lows will be coming once ive sorted a few other bits!! Fancy some nice coilovers maybe some small spacers on the front then a wee drop!

MM - Thanks for the comments . . although thats my Dad (and my mechanic!) in the lovely white vest!! :) He moans when I get smaller cars cant get in that well! ha ha  Also thanks for the offer see where we are once your all settled. nice new tips would be a good start and maybe enough. :)

They're great! Looks like you have a reasonable flat driveway so you should be able to get it nice and low

Not too bad to be fair! We will see what sort of damage the lowness can cause! :) Getting a new driveway start of next year so can make sure it can be catered for! 8)

So this weekend my aim is. . . debadge!! Will be whipping off the 2.0 and the Z4 badge (maybe) with a bit of a machine polish to tidy it all up. If time will machine and seal the whole car ready for the winter.

Next on the list. . COILOVERS! Well other than stubby! Need some lows in my life so thats on the cards soon too!! Then roll on some meets/shows next year!

Scotty

I like those wheels. Obviously I would prefer them in black. but I think you've created a nice look.

Love the wheels. They sell for good money though and a refurb + tyres mean they end up costing mega money!

Thanks Ben G I was lucky with these got them for a good price from a guy fairly local and as a bonus had the right tyres too not original X5 ones which would have had to have been changed. Recently refurbed, 2 next to new front tyres (not best make but they are upto the job) and rear tyres plenty of meat and good tyres. . . so happy with my purchase and bolted straight on!! Just looking at some spacers think the front can come out about 10mm and the rear maybe the same or just less then as mentioned above need to lower it a bit.

Cheers Stug. . new you were going to mention black . . must have a fetish!! :) :poke:

PY is one of my fav BM colours & love your choice of wheel ,
Personally I would be having them done in black to reduce the impact of the chunkiness but as they are they still look great IMO

Thank you for the kind words sir! I was wanting a darker rim colour originally although think il leave them as the are for the winter and address it in spring. They do look chunky (well they are TBH) in the pictures but not so much in person bit strange! Definitely happy with my rim choice though really do like the look of the car. Honestly thought they wouldn't be liked as much as they are but glad people are liking them as much as me!

Just trying to convince the wife that I need another car alongside this one for the more mundane tasks . . . and my eyes are on an Audi. . either a RS6 or S4 so summer next year may have 2 cars to fettle with!!

Well that was a fun year!! Ive been a bit quiet but the car was running fine however as per usual I got a little itchy feet and have chopped it in against a new stallion for the stable. :driving:

On Monday she went to the garage and I drove home in a very tidy, low mileage example of a MK5 Volkswagon Golf R32. The noise alone is awesome even with the standard exhaust! 8)

Thank you all for your comments, help and kind words shame I never got to meet any of you and show the Z off in person. Hopefully it will pop up on the forum again soon and the new owner will see this thread. It still has the X5 rims on it also so be quite easy to spot (if the garage leaves them on!).

Just have a set of 108's to off load now so watch the for sale as will need a refurb, great tyres but just in my way etc.

Thanks y'all!

Scotty_B
