Sadly lost our beloved dog of 13 years on Wednesday to cancer. She was truly the best! Several people have recommended I get another puppy to help fill the void, but I'm not sure...

So sorry to hear the bad news....

When we lost our last GSD at 13 i swore i wouldnt have another......But 3 months later we got Stan, our current GSD as i missed having a dog in the house..

But what i will say is if your the kind of person that loves dogs, then give another a good home.

These are our two critters.
The grey one is a Chartreux named Nadia (when we rescued her the shelter said she was a Russian blue) Hence the Russian name. We never bothered changing her name to a French one.

The White & Tabby is a Japanese bobtail named Mado Kichi Musume. Which is Japanese for "window sill daughter" We call her Musume. Unfortunately she is in "the process" As she is 15 years old in this photo and will be 17 tomorrow, And is deaf. She still plays (a little) but mostly sleeps curled up beside us or on our laps.

I have kept tropical for years, but the big maintenance jump does scare me a bit.

I was at first, but once its all settled in 6+ months, its no more work than my tropicals

Only real difference is if it goes wrong, it goes wrong badly and quickly usually with big financial consequences! haha

Rudy, my 2 years 4 months old Shih Tzu. She likes eating carrots, sleeping, cuddling and watching TV.

I'm currently caring for Penny having had her spayed on Friday. Stressful is not the word.

She's either jumping around bursting stitches, trying to bite or lick the wound or laid out in a baby grow (to stop her getting to the wound) or a lampshade on her head. Constant supervision and eyes in back of head required.
