Easy - have a spare ready in the garage.

Snapped one up for £42 on eBay and received it this morning. Very good condition with no rust on it and ran it up on a spare battery. Very smooth.

Of course it means mine will never break now :)

If anyone's does break you never know I could sell it on

... at which point yours would be breaking down the next day and you have to buy the replacement at £300

Of course - so that's why I'll be keeping it unless short term greed or pity for a fellow z4 owner gets the better of me.

You sure you don't want to make a blind outside your office operated by this pump and some Z4 switch cluster mounted on your desk?

A canny buy - nice one cj

I forgot to ask for my old one back when I had it changed :headbang:

Haha... You must have enough spare parts to build a new Z now!

A good idea to store up spare parts, more so if you have picked them up cheap

I've got a mint condition sat nav monitor that I picked up for £40 - just incase :o

Missed that thread on when it was replaced. Thought you were going to do it with the help of a forum member?

Have been away working for a bit so missed a lot of posts ...

Koolchris offered to help, but I succumbed to impatience (he's been busy/on holiday, not his fault :D ). Weather's been better, so glad I did... But I paned on keeping my old motor to see if I could clean it up and totally forgot to ask them to keep it :poke:

PVR and me bought a Nav monitor between us a while ago so ours will never fail also.

Perfect way to make sure roof motor never breaks? Buy a coupe! :poke:
Although the roadster coupe thing bores me to death, I have to respond - Typical defeatist coupe attitude to life :poke:

Or they'll both fail at once!
