Paul Walker RIP

It's also a great little party trick if you're the sort of person who cares about jousting with strangers on the Internet for a pronged period.

Uuuum, surely the best way to deal with someone like 'GuidoK' as described above is to ignore his comments and let him play his game alone

Good point

I'd never heard of the Paul Walker before, but then I don't watch a lot of films.

It's always sad when someone dies before their time. However I can't help feeling glad that no innocent bystanders were killed or injured, although PW wasn't at the wheel it sounds like a self destructive act.

I'd guess the driver was going too fast in a 45 kph zone since that what the sign lying next to the crash scene said on it.

But california/ USA has miles, why would that sign be in kmph?

Been reading some of the comments on here about what caused the accident.

No one needs to answer this but Is there anyone posting on this post that hasn't broken a speed limit at some point in the pursuit of speed and enjoying the drive/car?

Think on! :driving:

The news here is now claiming he was going 40 in a 15.

A 15mph limit?? Isn't that called a cycle lane!

Some of the photographs of the crash scene show a 15mph speed limit sign nearby, others a felled 45mph sign.

No, the 15mph sign is yellow, an advisory speed limit ahead of a bend. It has a right arrow next to it indicating it is the advised speed for that corner.

Looking at the bends on that road on Google street view that 15mph must be an advisory speed for cars with USA suspension!! The road they were on from above on the map looks like a race track oval! Go around the roads on street view!

Have you seen the video of the car exploding?
Its behind trees but you can see the explosion & fire. Scary.

same Andy. really sad about it, as are my friends. Strange as we only know him from films - but as my mates pointed out I couldn't count how many times we have watched them - hours and hours worth. And when you're a whipper under the age of 16 this kind of guy was going to be an idol for a lot of petrol heads, which lasted a good twelve years since.

maniac - i agree with the speed of the flames. I mentioned that earlier - irregardless of how the accidents happen, stupid exotics seem to explode all too often and catch fire without accidents! Begs a question.
