Paul Walker RIP

I'm absolutely gutted. As others have said, I grew up with the fast and furious films. honestly can't believe it.

Theres no doubt they were doing something silly, but we all have at one point. It just so happens it cost them their lives. RIP :(

''dude I almost had you''
''you never had me. you never had your car''

Love that one.

a couple of young blokes
They were middle aged men (38&40) with kids themselves

35mph speed limit......

Young blokes. Not old, young. It does indeed look like they were in the wrong and have paid the ultimate price. Happy? Karma all balanced in your world? Splendid.

Yep woke up to this news this morning. Very sad. RIP. Be careful out there dudes. only takes a split second for this outcome.

Nope, still amazed that people do things this reckless, especially people with lots of racing experience.
That they end up dead does not make it right or make me happy.
It's not a matter of 'that they got what they deserved '; that's a kids way of reasoning.
Them being dead is not an issue for me at all. That their kids have to deal with it, or that they could have hurt others, thats the real issue. I thought that that was pretty obvious in my posts :?

It was obvious. It's also a shitty self-rightous way of thinking that I don't happen to agree with on this occasion. I'll leave it there.

I am saddened by his death.

What I cannot understand is how a million pound sports car crashes into a mere sapling(at least in comparison to the huge tree trunks I have seen hugging cars in this area) and yet the car exploded instantly burning them alive.

More so when the accident happened on the passengers side. (Left hand drive).

Some people walked away with a huge tree trunk sitting in their passengers seat.

As someone said i am very curious on how these carbon clad exotic cars fare way below your standard hatch.

sad death but like guido said, the driver shouldnt have been racing/ driving fast enough to cause the car to burst into a fireball in a built up area

i guess we have all had our moments behind the wheel and this serves as an eye opener to us all

Gutted by this news. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but my love of cars developed alongside the early Fast & The Furious films. An ironic end for the guy really. :(

Respect for the thread buddy.

RIP Paul

Well I don't leave it there. You don't agree with what?
You think it's alright to drive like a lunatic on the public road as long as you die doing it? :?

This is a very sad death and I think arguing over right and wrong here is somewhat tasteless. The man is dead, have some respect and take your opinions on road safety somewhere it will help.

A lot of nice words said on pistonheads. Really depressed me today ... I think I was 14-15 years old when it first injected NO2 into my veins and got a generation of us obsessed. Hope the impact was hard enough to make it instant.
