Paul Walker RIP

We all need to remember speed can kill, but what a great loss to the car enthusiast world. He brought fast cars into the front rooms of more peoples homes than Henry Ford.

I wasn't a fan of subsequent films after the first but everyone of them were great in their own right.

How do supercars pass safety tests. Read about so many catching fire when they crash :-(

So sad, a little ironic too... Woke up with his on my twitter feed.

That porche was pretty totalled... Must have been going to pretty illegal speeds.

Wonder what they will do with the seventh instalment as it hasnt finished filming.

RIP.

Surely they'll have to pull it, he was arguably the main actor in it. I think they said they were aiming for ten altogether.

Makes me angry thinking about what they were doing in the car in a regular street to put their lives in danger. Such a waste.

got up to watch motd and thought i'd check the news, took a few mins to register; I thought the mail was 'sensationalising' his death in ff7.

I heard they were going for 10 too... And had the plot arranged for the 7 & 8.

I guess depends how far they have filmed... If most of its done then they may put in a double and CGI, worked quite well in the Crow with brandon lee (admittedly he was in makeup and its dark so it could have been me and you'd never tell!)

Wonder if any third part car was involved too? Doesnt mention that... Be a shame if someone's loved ones passed away as a result of this.

Yes I was thinking that too about CGI, think it would have a lot of gents in tears though if they did a "Letty style" funeral like an earlier film.

Don't think there was another car directly ... But looking at crap on the net it looks like there were a lot of performance cars lined up to drive in the event ... Which makes the whole loss such a waste as it shouldn't have happened - some speed in a built up area.

Does nobody realise that the driver was a semi-professional racing driver (roger rodas) and that they were in a supercar?
Imho you can only cause a single sided crash if you'r doing ludicrous speeds and extreme reckless driving (or maybe being drunk/under influence).
That car was schredded into pieces.
So I'm glad no innocent people got caught in that crash, as the car burnt out on the sidewalk in a suburban area.

I'm not really interested in getting on a high horse over how and why, that's a job for the authorities. I'm just sad that a couple of young blokes have died way ahead of their time.

He was such a petrol head too ... Gutted.

They were middle aged men (38&40) with kids themselves
