Kit had cable and a new wheel for the motor.

If you are doing this for the first time it will take a lot longer than an hour. I would say 2-3 as a minimum trying to work it out as you go along, even with YouTube videos etc. That’s using a £20 kit. Buying a complete regulator will reduce this time potentially quite a bit, but costs a lot more.
