Part numbers for space saver wheel

I am running non-RFT

I am looking for a 17" space saver - non seem to come up on ebay or other places and if they do at high prices

Does anyone in the UK do a package like leatherz.com do in the USA (no international shipping)

Do I need to go to BMW dealer?

If so what are the part numbers for wheel, tyre etc?

Do I need a spacer?

Do I need to turn DSL off if running with a space saver?

I have foam and have read the 'backup thread"

Any help is useful thanks

Martin

I really doubt BMW will do one, as the car (AFAIK) only comes with runflats...
the M has got nonRFTs, but that comes with a tyre repair kit (again, AFAIK)?

No idea on the part number, but they do exist. I've got a 17" spacesaver from an E46 330i that I won on ebay 12 months ago. Not for sale though!

looking at the part list for the e46, it either came with a spare (normal sized) wheel, or a tyre repair kit?

nevermind.. found it (was looking in coupe, not saloon)

BLACK STEEL EMERGENCY WHEEL 3.50BX17 ET:30 1 36116750007 $61.00 +core

this is the 17" black spacesaver used on:

E46, E81, E82, E87, E87N, E88, E90, E90N, E91, E91N, E92 and E93...

and it'll cost ya £42.29 from BMW dealers too :)

hope that's helpful

Humm - just thinking that even with it in the boot, if the rest of your boot is packed and you have a blow out - where would you put the wheel in place of the spacesaver???

That's a good price! I thought they were much more than that. Luckily (for me) I paid around that - £40 delivered I think? - for my unused 17" spacersaver via ebay. I'd be gutted if I'd paid more knowing that now...

Well wrapped and on the passenger seat... and if there is one, passenger! But good point.

but that is a problem faced by most cars with a space saver... full boot and full complement of passengers... flat tyre = oh sh*t!

Is it tho? In my E46 i had a space saver spare but it lived in a proper space under the carpet in the boot.
Now - i never did test to see if an actual wheel would fit in the space saver space! :)

TBH Ive never checked either - Thought the biggest excuse to fit a space saver was to enable the boot to be bigger hence the name :?

Doesn't seem much point otherwise...

Ill let you know when our Mazda 2 gets a puncture

Knowing me, if I get a puncture and have to fit the space-saver I'm likely to have launched the flat tyre and wheel over the nearest hedge in a fit of rage . Thus, problem solved!
