Parking Sensors fitted

You can still grind the car on the kerb though, my front sensor is under the number plate and it won't pick those up.

Haha, so I have different tastes than you!!!!

And yeah, they don't pick up everything, nearly scuffed the rear diffuser last week and the bottom of the front bumper a few times.

Would probably be an idea for me to learn how to park!

I think they look ok...same as the retrofit on the Mrs focus but I would want the OEM bits inside button etc

I think they look fine too. As has been said, you won't give how they look a thought in 4 weeks time.

So, it just gets better. I've found a crack in the bumper that wasn't there before. Not only do the front ones not work now I've found damage. Absolutely f****ing fuming. :x :x :x

Time to take it back and sit down with the dealer principle and have a free and frank conversation...

x2 - unacceptable, take it back. Sorry to hear this Carol :(

I dont think they look as bad as these comments make out.

Its pretty bad form they dont work, an even more they cracked the bumper.. But hopefully they will be accommodating and rectify it without too much grief.

Yeah, they don't look too bad at all.

Get them to do it properly like factory fitted PDC, i.e. a new front and rear bumper.

I agree but doubt they would do that due to cost. They've gone for the cheapo ones which look, ermmmm cheapo and not in keeping with the Zed.

Anyways, hope you get it sorted Carol, I think I would have taken the money instead in hindsight, but poor show on the dealers part :(

Tim.

I hate to do it but I have to agree Carol. I really don't want to say it however I would have felt cheated by the dealer and BMW.

However, if your happy with them then I think that's the main thing!

Well, they're coming to the house to fix front sensors today. To make them actually work.
I'm getting more and more peed off. Sales bloke at dealers made out I was stupid and 'they are working properly, in a parking situation you have to switch them on and they will beep as you approach objects' (or words to that effect)
They're not supposed to beep like feckin road runner is darting around in front of your bonnet when parked 30 foot from the nearest object though are they?

Spoke to dealer about the sensors they've fitted yesterday. I think the ones they've fitted have de-valued the car and considering we were told they would be oem. Clearly they aren't. Waiting on a call back.

So, at the risk of getting boring. He's changed the box, it was faulty.

In your face BMW salesman. I am not stupid after all.

I would go for the replacement bumper and OEM sensors.....just saying what I would be thinking if I were in your shoes.....

I wouldn't be able to sleep!!

I am. Waiting on a call back from the dealers. I thought about it after they did it and decided it's just not right to fit the ones they've put on.
In my opinion it's de-valued the car. I know we pushed them to fit them but we ordered as car that came with a function missing that had been talked about when we ordered it. They've gone for the cheap option by fitting the ones they have and they haven't done the right thing.
I've just been talking to the bloke that came to fix these ones and he said there is an 18mm hole drilled to fit these 'cheaper' ones and that they can fit the oem flush ones (I don't need a new bumper as the dealers said we would) as they are 22 mm.
The difference is the cost.
Will wait and see what they say.

Like to think I'm pretty good at composing an intelligent letter, let me know if I can help out or give you the details, same as to JDM, for this National Customer Service Manager at BMW
