parking on private property and the law

My house is 14 years old and has on the deeds a restrictive covenant that prevents caravans, trailers, and commercial vehicles being parked - but there's shed loads of vans and the plonker who lives next door has decorated his front lawn with a twin axle trailer - but how does anybody stop it ? Who do we report it to ?

Did you know, with the exception of North Somerset Council, enforcement of parking infringements is no longer a criminal matter in all local authority areas.

Well I started off by going to North Somerset Police website to report a crime, 30 minutes of form filling later I had given up the will to live and so gave up, which seems this is one way the Police can keep reported crime low. TBH, I don't think the police are really that interested in this kind of crime.

Does this mean Travellers can set up camp wherever they fancy ? or you can take a holiday anywhere, think not. Double standards here me thinks.

You contact those breaching it, enforcement is via the County Court.

Pint of double cream down his air vent Yes we have parking issues too, there is a couple opposite but a bit lower down the road who appear to have a lot of visitors on a regular basis, and we get them parked opposite our drive when there is room outside their house, sometime overnight, it drive me spare as its almost as if it doesnt matter if its awkward for us to get off/on our drive, I have often thought of doing the cream thing at 3 in the morning

Yes, not mine but my evil mates idea, he had someone let their dog pee on his car the other day and he saw it, he is on about smearing toothpaste on their windscreen..

Next time he goes away in the caravan buy a banger, insure it and leave it outside his house indefinitely, see how he likes it!

We were going to do something similar to this to get a small bit of revenge on someone.
We were going to get a banger that was not taxed or motd and register it to the person in question and park it outside their house.
If they called to complain about the eyesore they would get a shock when they found out they owned it and possibly a fine and costs to get rid of it.

The V5 would be sent to them though so they would know :?

Damn, I knew the plan would be flawed somewhere.
