Parking like a t*** - Are you guilty?

I once parked in a space in a motorway services right on the end of a completely empty row of spaces. As I was eating my scotch egg a car drew up and a woman got out, she opened her back door to get to her dog and "slam" shee opened it straight in to my car!!

"Oops, sorry" she said. I got out and amazingly it had hit a corner of a panel and not the flat surface so it didn't dent.
I said "that was a stupid thing to do, if you had dented it you would have paid for it". She looked at me puzzled.

So I had to say again "If you had damaged my car through your careless behaviour you would be paying for it". Still looks of confusion.

At this point I got a gun out and shot her dog. "Oops, sorry" I said.

I've a feeling this story may include some degree of fabrication :P
Only a small amount but it helps me with my anger management problem :D

This topic makes my blood boil.

A Facebook page titled "Careless F**kers" would be appropriate for exposing the real issue.

I'd bet a months salary that there are more new dents created each day from careless f**kers than there are people parking like twats.

There is only one way to protect your P&J and that's to take up two spaces.

Typical media looking at the symptoms of a problem instead of addressing the cause....

Sometimes I park like a twat, but I will if possible try and find an end spot etc

I have not issue with others in nice cars also parking like a twat.

I blame stupidly small spaces and not the drivers

What I don't get are t***ts that still park in the space next to you even when your in a bay that has at least a dozen spaces in all directions :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Someone dented my other car the other day with their car door. A crease about 12" long.
I was beside myself as I had parked away from everyone and they parked right beside me when there was bags of empty spaces.
I'm not going to say what I did as 1. You never know who reads this and 2. I'd probably get flamed by someone on here.
Draw your own conclusions. :x

Am sure it's a game to some to see if they can put small dents just in the drivers door. The number of obvious tiny small dents on my other car on the drivers door is unbelievable ... think I'm up to 7 now... Only 1 on one other door, as am sure is done on purpose just so you see it every time u use the car.

If I ever see someone do it, look & then laugh... Don't think there will be much restraint left to stop me doing something stupid

I am obviously the same as others on here, occasionally park across 2 but miles away from the supermarket entrance. Generally park at the end next to a kerb/bushes etc and hope no moron comes and parks next to it. Try to avoid parking anywhere where it is likely. Being an honest sort...I parked the wife's old banger (in 1993) next to our new and not yet met neighbours car. Wind caught the door as I opened it and it sainted their door. It was pitch black and wet and windy, no one was about. I didn't for one second think of NOT telling them. They were fine, presented me with a very reasonable bill of £110. 6 months later they sold their old clapped out Panda for....£100! :D I had a clear conscience and we went on to become firm friends

I did park considerately until some complete moron did this to our car recently

Now i feel vindicated in my loathing of any car parks, town centres or m way services  they are merely a invite for retards to socialise

Was it a bird by any chance?

Just the same but do have some priciples

I refuse under any circumstances to park in a disabled bay but will take every opportunityto take up a parent and child space whenever possible. Why should they get special privileges for a lifestyle choice?

Suspect I may have opened up a can of worms there but it really gets my goat.

Having parent and toddler bays hopefully reduces the amount of dings generated as people with kids will try and use those as they are nearer the store and have more room. I have 8 year old twins, but unless I have booster seats in the car I won't use them even as I feel it's unfair.

Having a nice car is a lifestyle choice so I don't think you can use it as an argument for taking up these spaces.

Everytime I try to park away from the door dingers, I seem to become a magnet to door dingers. Lifes too short, just dont park! :)
