Parking like a t*** - Are you guilty?

Someone dented my other car the other day with their car door. A crease about 12" long.
I was beside myself as I had parked away from everyone and they parked right beside me when there was bags of empty spaces.
I'm not going to say what I did as 1. You never know who reads this and 2. I'd probably get flamed by someone on here.
Draw your own conclusions. :x
go on give us a clue :poke:

Here's a clue... I'd have done the same as Carol did

I never take a disabled bay, although if they did do fat bastard spaces I'd be top of the list!

I will take parent and child spaces later on in the evening, but not during the day. My theory here is the little darlings should be at home in bed at that time, not out shopping. I had someone point out to me once that parents sometimes take the kid around the supermarket late at night cos it wont sleep....fine, but late at night most of the spaces in the whole car park are free, so again, I'm not inconveniencing anyone (just pinching a wide space that's all).

The best spaces are the ones lengthways with the kurb down the left side....like parking on the street. If I find one of those, I only take one!..

True....you can park miles away and come back and someone is right next to you. I'm sure some people use other cars to line up against when parking. Not all door dings are malicious, some are genuine accidents, but that doesn't help you feel any better unless they 'fess up!

This topic comes up on the babybmw forum every now and then and I'm normally in the minority!

Looks can be deceiving, a guy in his late 70s hobbled out of this TVR! And yes his disabled badge was on display for all to see.

Major kudos to this old timber!!

Bloody Hell! Even in parent and child spaces that X5 can't get it in the space *facepalm*

I park anywhere I like ...EXCEPT in a handicap spot, there's NO excuse for that. Tow the bastards I say.
My second wife had breast cancer that metastacised into her bones, she had a Handicap pass and rarely used it 'coz a**holes usually had the spots filled with no passes showing.
Rant over .....

I especially like parking in the spots marked for women with children, at the DIY store . WTF gives them privileged parking, ??

You like living dangerous, women parking!
Only joking.Your parking spaces are much bigger than ours in the uk.
You can park miles away from anyone, but when you get back to your car there is always some twat parked next to you.
Even though there are loads of empty places nearby :headbang:

Saw an interesting sign in a Spanish car park today. Basically stated if you park over a white line into 2 or more spaces you will be charged the actual cost of each space, for the duration of parking.

Not one badly parked car....

Thing is, I would happily pay for two spaces in a pay and display if it meant I could legally take the two spaces. i.e. get 2 tickets from the machine etc and park over the middle line.

I don't see why you cant either - you are "hiring" the spaces for that period of time, but most pay and display sites actually state you mustn't straddle the white lines, so I've never tried it.

Until the carpark designers build spaces big enough so you dont get a door dent , i will cpntinue to park like an absolute twat and be proud of it,! I normslly wont park next to another vehicle any way! Besides its not me thats a twat in my opinion,... Its the rest of them. :)

Pretty much my view.

I can't imagine that I've ever inconvenienced anybody by straddling spaces (as I do it far away where the car park is emptier), but I am definitely inconvenienced every time somebody smashes their door into my car.

SImples.....as the meerkat would say. Morally we are all in the right

If you paid for and displayed 2 concurrent tickets it would be hard to take any action against you. After all you're 'renting' both.
Pay on exit would be harder as you'd pay for one and drive out. .

Unfortunately , our parking spaces are getting quite small. smaller cars and smaller SUV's mean "more" parking spaces in the same size lot.
Probably 25% of our vehicles are the large pickups and they completely fill the new size spaces. I always ended up at the far side up in the weeds to get a space to park mine (or I just parked it and took 3 or 4 spaces....)

Bad parking in the UK - It's better than this!

One word solution: Ocado

Job Jobbed

There's a thread on PH with these on.
Unfortunately we must as a collective hang our heads in shame at the worst offence I saw on there

That must be a piss-take... Admittedly in very bad taste indeed...
