Panamera yes or no ?

Any large luxury barge has crap residuals though.
Hated the look of the Panamera several months ago but then went on a trip to Miami they seemed to be absolutely everywhere. They grew on me massively and now with the revised facelift that's just happened I'd consider one if I needed a 4 door car. I think Porsche's are moving in the right direction though at the mo, the new Boxster is the first I'd consider putting money down for! Beautiful!

I have been lucky enough to have been given a brand new Panamera S on a couple of occassions as a courtesy car while my Cayman was in for some work and I say lucky enough because it was an incredible drive.
I wouldn't get one yet, but maybe in ten years time, I can't think of anything better to cruise around Europe in.
It is way too big for British roads, it is marmite in the looks department, but never have I driven a more comfortable and accomplished car than the Panamera.

I don't mind the looks. Coming at you in the rear view mirror they are pretty hard to ignore. My problem is that lots of footballers have them :thumbsdown:
OG. I think I said in my thread about my mates GT3 that it was more usable as an everyday car than the GT3 RS. After doing a 200 mile trip in it last weekend I've changed my mind. It's just as unusable. If you do anything more than about 10 miles a day don't even think about it unless you have a 28inch waist with narrow shoulders, titanium spine and no hearing.

I saw a fella pull up at our local bakery in a Cayenne. There was a hell of a racket coming from the bonnet. Could it be. Yep! A bloody diesel. So not only was it was fugly. It was slow as well. If one is prone to buying a fugly auto. At least make sure it's fast so you can save a little of your honor.

£60k pvr - done 3.5k, 2007 Gen 1 GT3. It's the clubsport spec (at least I think thats what they call it) so its got roll-cage in the rear and harnesses and that carbon fibre spoiler. They had another Gen 1 GT3 in with 14k miles in "comfort spec" so no roll cage (still no rear seats but room for storage) and normal belts. That was £62k.
I reckon 997 GT3's will start to go up in value before long. The 991 will have PDK only and electro-mechanical power steering. So the 997's will be the last "true" GT3.

I don't really want a turbo-engined car (although if things carry on as they are I may have very little choice in the future) and I see a GT3 as a natural successor to the Z4MC - high-revving motorsport derived NA engine, a bit more hardcore, rare, limited numbers, and the added attraction of very low depreciation.
