I'm about to order new pads for the car, but where do you order the indicators from? BM or Another?

Cheers

You may not need them, I think its only if the light on the dash has come on.

What pads you going for?

Try bmwminiparts.com

It is indeed only required if the light has gone on, and then you only need 1 anyway.

They are about a tenner on ebay.

Explain, has the car only got one fitted?

No light on the dash..So are they reusable? I've not even looked tbh!

Daz, not 100% - Yellow stuff mibi! But i don't really like the red stuff on the Clio...hummm...I don't want a dusty/track pad.

Also WTF??

http://www.bmminiparts.com/PartDetails.aspx?InventoryId=CE9CE500-704B-423C-9324-BA42D81B2A3A

Are they the right prices??

Car has two fitted, one at the front, one at the rear.

Your light is not on, you don't need a new one.

Thats actually cheap!!

Yeah Id buy one at that - they only seem to have one side though, is it silly to ask why they're directional?

Also that's a rear isnt it?

Front Brake disc, ventilated, left 34 11 2 282 445
Front Brake disc, ventilated, right 34 11 2 282 446

Rear Brake disc, ventilated, left 34 21 2 282 303
Rear Brake disc, ventilated, right 34 21 2 282 304

They have fronts here & here for £127.

I need new rears.. why do they only have one side

remember all rotors must have the internal vanes pointing towards the rear of the vehicle, straight vane rotors can be used in any direction, hence usually a single part number.

Andy, according to the website they have 9 of each side available on the rear discs. Excellent company to deal with, I got my front discs from them a couple of weeks ago. I asked Douglas Park BMW if they could price match and got laughed out the building.

Got a set of Axxis to go on when my OEM have gone ... no more dust.

I paid £55 for them (set for all wheels) but bought them from www.zeckhausen.com in the US as I picked them up whilst there (had them delivered to the hotel, so no duty or anything like that).

Think in the UK, CA Automotive sells them at an inflated price ..

I got the Axxis ULT's, similar dust as the stock ones and slightly better bite once they warm up a bit. Overall i'm happy with them.

Just ordered them. £92 inc delivery etc. Bit more than the site states, but marginal really.

Make sure you bed your pads in properly, go to a quiet straight road and accelerate up to say 100kph then brake hard (but no ABS) down to 10-15kph, make sure not to stop completely though, do this procedure 3-4 times minimum.

Some good info here: http://www.stoptech.com/technical/

Agreed with above, otherwise you will have the squeel of all squeels ...

I changed all my pads and sensors at the weekend, and would advise ordering new sensors. The guys are correct you don't NEED one if its not been triggered, but its VERY hard to get the old one out without breaking the brittle plastic....
