Car has started throwing up an EML in regards to trim. I've been told its to do with my post cat O2 sensor. Can anyone recommend a source to buy a good quality O2 sensor. 1 place has told me to replace the one, another has said you should change them in pairs. The second garage doesn't think its the O2 sensor, he thinks its something to do with the MAF.

The car was recently serviced and had no EML previously, so could it be a problem with the air filter used?

A little update, invested in my own fault code reader, handy to have. Having done a bit of reading people have mentioned to clean the MAF so i'm going to try that tomorrow, it could also be that there is an airleak into the exhaust system.

Is there any way of checking? quick check or does it need to go on a ramp? The last option is O2 sensors which it's booked in for on the 25th. If I could avoid this route Id love to.

I had a similar issue with a non-zed, the car was throwing up sensor codes. After a bit of research i decided to try cleaning the MAF (as it was a cheap option), clearing the codes and then giving the car a "robust" drive. No more codes, and two months later still no repeats.

Only advice - be careful cleaning the MAF. There are a lot of threads on forums about using IPA and other solvents, but its far better to use a correct cleaner (such as this one from amazon) and be very gentle when handling the MAF - they are easily damaged.
