Mike (Cherrym) has links with the Porsche Owners Club (having been there and owned one previously) and rang to let me know they were out on a run this Sunday - did I fancy joining them? Porthoz4 was free as well, so we found ourselves meeting up at Corbridge and heading past Kielder for Hawick and some of our favourite routes and roads.

Was interesting following the 911 Carrera S - massively wide rear tyres and consequently a noticeable catapult out of bends and from a standstill - I think it's called traction :D

We joined up with a couple of other Porsche Owners club members on the A69 and set off for Kielder.

A variety of Porsches were on the run. The Cayanne was impressive - it had getting on for 500bhp and cornered surprisingly well. Excellent brakes and brilliant fun to follow - we had a terrific spell heading south from Hawick :driving:

Kielder Castle made for an interesting stop for lunch - may use this location again on one of our runs. Food was excellent and well priced.

The Porsche owners were a great bunch and very capable on the road. It made for a very enjoyable day on some brilliant twisties.

Thanks to them for the invite and to Mike - we had a great day's driving :driving:

Would liked to have joined you but sadly couldn't today. Bit gutted I missed this but am sure there will be another opportunity to get out with the Porsches again. Hopefully catch up soon.

Another great day out, cheers Mike for setting it up. We had 150 miles of top down fun those roads just have to be driven. Sorry you couldn't make it today Craig will catch up with you for a run out soon ,maybe in your new Z ?. Once again some great photos Paul thanks, must get my dash cam set up. To see those porkers go was worth seeing especially the 2.5T Cayenne what a car! Also a very friendly bunch of people, cheers Greg you set quite a pace.
Roll on the summer!!.

Hi Paul..... When is your next trip out around the north east? I will be picking up my new Z this week and never got to do the northeast runs with you when I had my last Z.. Thanks

Looks like a great day out

It always amazes me how well those big cayannes and maccans perform..

The Z is still the best looking car in that bunch!

Not really Moz, two girls and one boy still at Uni. (my youngest daughters and Steph's youngest son)
Now when they've done we've got two recently engaged (my eldest son and Steph's eldest daughter) so that's weddings ahead.
My middle son is in Canada and there's a possible wedding on there as well . . . . .

Guess where all that disposable income's gone, going and spent

Just as well I'm happy with my 3.0si - good compromise in performance and running costs - with the benefit it looks wonderful and feels brilliant to drive (no need to let you know that  ).

Just booked it in for an oil change and thorough check over - springs, bushes, suspension, brakes, before the season starts in earnest.

Glad you've got sorted - magic.

We'll be posting up soon. We've been a bit busy with unexpected issues at the beginning of this year. Soon be back to it though.
