People who own a Z4 - They are a poser just because they own a flash car?
People cruising in their cars around built up areas full of people craving attention?
People who regularly post pictures of their car on forums?
Or the person down the street who is constantly cleaning/polishing their car?
To be honest the only one of those examples that would fit what I had in mind when I said "poser" would be the second. I really enjoy washing and polishing my zed, but used to enjoy it almost as much with my last car which was an M reg 1.6 astra I find it relaxing and like to look after things. I posted after seeing one particular zed driver and found myself thinking "to$$er" and wondered if thats the sort of image we all portray. He was dressed like a contestant on the apprentice with massive designer sunglasses (you know the kinda girly looking ones) and appart from a lack any flashing/waving he didn't really do anything else wrong but it reminded me of a number of traits that I would associate with posers such as:
Always parking right in front of buildings or near the entrances to shopping centres so as many people can see as possible can see them getting in and out, I recon most forum users would be as far away as possible to avoid paintwork dings?
Doesn't generally care for whether the car is clean but if they're particularly wanting to impress someone they'll run in it through an automatic car wash
Will place their keys on a bar/table when they sit down with the roundel/ any other badge facing up but....
If you engaged them in conversation about the car would be able to tell you very little other then the manufacturer, model, colour and how much it cost
Interesting that a few of the posts said the zed isn't hardcore petrolohead material such as elises/imprezas, is there an intermediate term, motorphile perhaps?
