OT : What do you do for a living?

you always get ppl moaning about techs/dealerships. apparently we are the best BMW garage in london though, were definetally the most expensive so we must be half decent.

I'm an Air Traffic Controller and have the pleasure of controlling traffic into and out of all the major London airports. Sometimes I wonder why I subject myself to it but then I just look at the Zed and it all becomes clear!! :D
Honestly though, I really enjoy it.

Well since WLH pointed to this thread from another one, time for a revival.....

I work for Ubisoft as a Vehicle Artist, which means I model/texture cars for computer games. Been at the job for just over a year now, loving it as I get to look at cars all day

So what do some of you other newer guys do?

That sounds cool :)

I'm a engineer and build this:

Wow! I am humbled to be in the company of this group! I am a humble food distributor, president of a company that distributes primarily beef, Pork and chicken. on the east coast We employ about 130 people and ship around 3 million pounds per week. pretty simple really when compared to the technicals kills in this group.

I have wasted a LOT it time with some Ubisoft Games....

My current favorites are Supreme Commander and MassEffect... sadly, not Ubisofts work...

If you like RTS games then End War has been released recently, but it's very console oreintated. Has excellent voice recognition though
The biggest recent release is Prince of Persia, which looks excellent but I've yet to play it.
The studio I work for is Reflections, who used to be part of Atari and created the Driver series.

ElegantSpoon- do you get friends and family discount on those? :poke:

I am an air traffic controller working in the same centre as Scuzi from page 6 of this thread. In fact I think I trained him in the simulator when he was first posted to our unit :D

Boring compared to a lot of folk on here but...

I'm a Sports Development Manager: basically, an organisational, managerial, coordinational role to encourage more kids to get off their backsides and participate in sport, but also focussing on enabling talented kids to reach their full potential (I could have the next Tiger Woods in one of the classes I arrange, who knows!). Sounds more exciting than it is - i spend too much of my time stuck in an office doing paperwork and HR stuff, and not enough time actually visiting the sessions.

Don't shoot me - I'm an equity analyst covering oil services. -At least I don't work for any of the Icelandic banks :o

I love my job - lots of cool, large toys in oil service, from rigs via heavy transport vessels to subsea construction. I'm probably the only one here hoping the price of oil will double this year :fuelfire:
