OT : What do you do for a living?

Used to run round carrying heavy stuff.

Now get to go to work with 1 bloke and 9 or 10 (mostly) sexy girls, sit on the beach for a few days and come home. Summer in the UK winter in BC or Alberta.

Shipkiller - thanks for those pictures. You must really know what you are doing!

I'm a Policy and Information officer for a small voluntary organisation here in wales called TPAS - Tenant Participation Advisory Service Cymru. We help soical housing tenants and their landlords to work effectively together to make thair communities better places to live and work - that's how the speil goes......

I write policies, respond to government consultations, do training and consultancy work. Do the PR and communications for the organisation - including publications and the website (which is currently very shoddy http://www.tpascymru.org.uk ) - currently working on the new website which should be up and running in about a month or so.....I'm also the resident IT guru here...

I used to be a housing manager in a local authority - which was basically getting people to behave within the confines of their tenancy agreement/ collect rent and deal with ASB and when the buggers didn't behave evicting them - and yes for those in the uk - yes it was like working in shameless..... :headbang:

In my spare time i'm finishing off my Phd - which is taking forever!!!!!

You guys have some pretty cool jobs.....

I work as an IT Recruiting Manager for a Global 300 Company

Geez, you know I offered to take you for a spin around JAX in the Z. How about a little spin around the area in yours. At the Jacksonville Landing you can tie up right in front of Hooters!

If you are a REAL BMW tech, then LOTS of questions are forthcoming...

Just remember, self worth is not determined by the size of the paycheck.

I was just messing with you. Wife and I did take a ride back through downtown JAX today and the waterfront was beautiful. I had to take a few pictures. :driving:

The little lady, whose job (banking) pays for my toys! I will not discuss my job as it could probally be somewhat described as hundreds of Seinfeld epsiodes repeating themselves over and over and over.

I sailed around it in old nice harbour a few years ago. Its an amazing vessel, the two tenders were bigger than mine! :o

Ben. You have my dream job!

I am indeed a real life tech lol.
Self worth doesnt mean much these days, its more to do with what you got in the bank. Thanks for trying to make me feel better though lol

You've obviously been looked down upon by one or more self centered, self serving, egotistical, pompous snobs that think you are their servant because they bring their car to you for repairs. Having been a tech for 30 years I've met them all. What they seem to forget is that without your skills their (obviously) important butts would be walking or taking a cab.
Hang in there and be proud of who and what you are!

I wonder how many people have complained about the techs where Pontio works? :D That is our favorite past time right after cleaning the Zed right? Baggin on the techs/dealer? :poke: :poke:
