Hi mate, I think a red roof will really suit your car being silver.
Actually even more so since you have red seats.

Can't wait till you get it done and post a few pics....

Thought this might be of interest to you. Found it on the forum somewhile ago and for my own preference I created a blue version of the red on a silver Z.

Hope it gives a feel for what it will look like in red....

and in navy blue

Thats is gonna look awesome! Looks good in the blue as well

Couldn't agree more on both accounts. For me I think the navy is perhaps just that little bit safer but red/burgundy or call it what you will, also looks a pretty safe bet.
All you've got to do now Jonny is put up the pics then we'll know for sure!

I recon if I ever have to replace my hood I will go for the blue rather than black as I have black seats. Both colours look much more classy than the black imo.

Or perhaps a variety of tartans :poke:
Everyone's a critic - but you're right, tartans are patterns it only becomes a plaid when it's a garment...

But, as it happens, the more I look at that picture, the more I think Bing should have his roof like that....

I maybe the only one not being sure. If you had black seats I'd say yes to the red roof, not sure about red roof and red seats, its a little too much?

Silver is a bright colour and needs dark things to break it up, your wheels have dark areas and black roof works really well. The red seats add a nice contrast on the inside, black inside a silver car can often make things feel bland.
I have a trained eye on these things... I was nearly a car designer and had a job lined up with Ford, but took another direction in my career.

Red done end of. Before i got my z i wanted a red roof. Still do but sure i could spend the money on better things. Looking forward to it.

I love the merc's with the red roofs... the sickening thing though is that at £1k a piece of fabric represents around 1/5 the value of your car :o

Thanks for feedback, seems 99% of you guys like the idea of a coloured roof, red is a risk but with red leather interior and massive 6 pot red brake callipers in march i think will set it off a treat.....new red roof £1170 tho so be mindful before you fall in love with my posted pics :poke:

I think the red roof will look good especially when folded down so you see red at the back then the red from the seats - something different

...the final mod project hits nearly 12k in March and that still leaves my engine swap etc so 1k is nothing in the mix of things...
Crazy, crazy, crazy.... I hope you've got 'agreed value' insurance
