Back on topic.

I sometimes wish I had ticked the heated seats.

But then I remember if it's really cold I can always fart :)
Note to self. Never get in a car with Jasey when it's cold
Only if the roof's down do I fart  :D

So I assume that it wasn't you who voted for the Green Party then? :o

Blimey my favourite topic. There's loads I'd add to this car. Stitched leather around the windscreen frame and over the top like the M roadster E85 for starters. Hate the feel of that nasty scratchy plastic. What if I told you the absence of a leather windscreen surround nearly made me get an E85? That and that alone would have swayed me.

The E89 roll hoop covers feel Commie-Block cheap and flimsy as well. Real alloy with stitched leather facings for me please. The whole bottom of the dash and glovebox lid is plastic, albeit soft-touch. Those two blank buttons inboard of the heated seat varieties would have been ideal for activating a three-stage massage function for the lumbar support. My back starts to ache after an hour or so and manually using the switch beside the seat is a pain. I've considered some way of after-market modification to get this to work, but it'd be too much hassle TBH. My iDrive seems a bit Bare Bones; there's no "Office" menu at all, and no TV tuner. I can't seem to play music via bluetooth from my Android. So no extended bluetooth module for me? All the BMW ConnectedDrive subscriptions have expired and I CBA to shell out yet more Euros for something I'll never use. Does that make the SOS button worthless?

Besides, the dealers here are a bunch of W*nkers. Ordered a full storage tray for the centre tunnel to replace the "cupholders" and useless blank phone holder, and they sure haven't made it easy. Bet I'll have to call them instead of them calling me when it arrives. Wanted a black headliner too and they keep trying to talk me out of it. A stitched alcantara one would be nice. Maybe I should look for a refurbisher...

I wish I had the DVD changer. I'd load the entire extended LOTR trilogy (which perfectly has six channel DTS- rare for DVDs- to match the Professional speaker package), two discs per film. Alas. At least a region-free mode for the DVD player in-dash, as all my DVDs are packaged with BD double packs from the US (Region 1). Remote in the mirror would be cool although there's only one gate I can think of where I'd need it and I avoid that place anyway. Our gates at home are all manual (PITA when I show up at stupid o'clock and have to dismount to unlock & open them, momentarily leaving the car unattended with the engine running in our tight alley). Heated wheel would be cool but I don't need it down here. Comfort access would be lovely, but I wouldn't trust it to be honest, at least at first. Using the key can be annoying though.

A sliding glass wind deflector would be ace, like the previous Six series and current SLK. There's space between the cabin and boot for one. Auto-up for the rear windows with anti-trap. Fog lights or low-speed cornering lights in the empty inside projectors too. The seats could use upper back adjustment for rake, and a facility that perfectly matches the seat positions when parked top-down (not that I ever park top-down), because I'm anal like that.

That was not standard on the m roadster afaik.
That is part of the 'extended leater walknappa" option (option code LT). A fairly expensive option.
For the non m facelift models its option code LB.
