At the risk of alienating some of our friendlier colonial cousins, I have just read a BBC report that during the month of March 3.7 million applications to hold firearms were submitted in the USA, a 32% increase over normal.
This raises a few queries:
What do they suddenly all need guns for? To join battle in the great toilet paper wars of 2020?
Are they expecting an alien invasion, while we are all weakened by the virus?
How on earth do they accept 2.8 million applications as a 'normal' month?
Perhaps Scootr, who seems to be level-headed enough to apply to be an honorary Brit, could explain?
