One less Z4MR...

Someone between the garage it was stored at and it getting to the salvage stole the rear boxes and side repeaters... Don't ask.

The car looks decent enough in the photos, the wheels were immaculate prior to the incident and I machine polished it all last year.

I'll not say what they paid for the car but that's a hefty mark up but fair play if they can get that money for it.

Prior to the crash the car was well cared for :D

Sorry to hear about this, can't be nice coming out to your car like that.

Still, I reckon you did the right thing by getting out and not fannying around with repairing it. Onwards and upwards as they say

Nothing as far as I'm aware.

Thankfully iv agreed everything with the insurance, sold on the salvage and spare parts which means the payout works out in excess of £17,500 which I can't complain about.

The valuation for insurance purposes in case anyone needs a reference was £15,600 (but the insurer also knew I was getting the salvage cheap).

Only £1,900 for Salvage?

£1900+ profit including parts.

Salvage came out of the £15,600 and then I sold it for more than I paid meaning I end up with over £17,500.

Valuation was placed at £15,600 for paperwork purposes but actual value was greater in reality as the insurer knew I'd get more for the salvage if that makes sense :)

horrible way to end but you came out really well of this OP..... take solace from that if nothing else! Doesn't often go this way :-)

Very true. I still can't believe the settlement.

Just looking at eBay ad. Did you refit the offside skirt properly as it doesn't look right. Assume you did enough as it was going to a salvage yard.

I took the salvage as I knew I could sell it for more. The accident management company helped me out although I think I could have got even more had I the space and time to sort it out without hurrying to get it out of the garage it was stored at.

I refitted the skirts fairly well but underneath the sill there is damage to the mounts so if you knock it lightly it will pop loose as its only effectively clipped in at the rear.

Hopefully I'll be back into M ownership at some point in the near future :)
