I recently covered mine with leather from a seller on ebay...they supply the loose pattern then you trim and glue it

How comes the stitching lines are all over the shop? The line at the bottom of the main dash piece that fits around the CD player looks like a worm :o

Let’s see, how could that be?? I know....maaaaaaybe because I have a day job that doesn’t involve being a full time leather trimmer

Calm down dear. If you post photos on a public forum, then it's fair game to critique them. The Centre console area looks great, it's just the main dash insert that seems to have an issue.

I don't post photos of the passenger side of my car because it's got a couple of huge dents in the front wing (a hgv drove into it, and then drove off). But if I did, I bet someone would pick up on it

Get it carbon skinned.

I recently got some of the trims for my M3 skinned (see my Instagram).

http://demo.carbonized-bg.com is your man.

Not a big fan of the carbon; bit to clinical for me. If I did do it, it would be the leather.

I am overall not 100% convinced in changing these cosmetic things yet - undecided. For me these cars are what they are; mid-2000s cool sports cars. Some of the appeal is this in itself - the aluminium trim is part of the charm.

Invisible upgrades I prefer such as bluetooth, Carly RCH etc. as these add features that enhance the car without changing the character. I think overall, they are pretty amazing out-of-the-box, certainly my 3.0Si is a pretty impressive piece of kit!

The pattern is made for Z4 but there is still a fair bit of stretching, gluing and cutting to get it fitted. Having said that once you take you time it’s pretty straight forward

The main dash trim was £50, light switch £20 and center console £50. They also do the A pillars and roof panel.

I’ve seen these before but didn’t notice that they also did the transmission tunnel, rear console and sun visors! Don’t like the coarse grained leather though. I wonder if they’d do a one-off set in Nappa...

The excess leather they give you for the main dash panel was very very tight, so I was more focused on making sure I stretched it enough in overall length than I was on the stitching line...so lost it a bit under the radio. It’s not perfect but I’m happy with it; really changes the feel of the interior overall.

I’m still debating doing the A pillars and top of windscreen trim ( where the interior light is)

I’d say they would if you asked. They seem to make on order so shouldn’t be an issue for them.

As I previously mentioned. Carbon skinning is a good option.

I recently did it on my car.

What condition is it in? Does it have both holes for the Sport and Airbag Off on the Centre Console? Thanks

I have gone for the carbon hydro dipped option in Matt not gloss as I didn’t want it too shiny. It’s due collection at the end of the month and cost £140 for the three pieces! Replaces my old fashioned wood dash.

its perfect.

sport but no airbag off..

Wonder how difficult it would be to hack a hole for the Passenger Airbag Off. How much would you be looking for? Do you have any photos? Considering a Cirrus Trim set too from another forum member as can't decide which I would prefer.

Thank you

I’m getting mine done in black alcantara along with gear and handbrake gaitors with blue stitching to match my seats.
I’m half way through mine, they are a little awkward but look great.

What shade Alcantara did you go for?

Haven’t took them through to the retrimmer yet but probably just black or a very dark grey .
