Oh joy.....time to argue...Resolved..

Not good John, no one will look after your car like you mate. I wouldn't have left my car that long though.

You’ll get your money back by deducting it from the bill and they’ll smile and say sorry etc - next time (if) you go there, they’ll easily recoup their loss!

hopefully a simple wash the dust should have not caused any paint issues john... the ceramic on the car is a gtechniq combo. its really decent stuff. You should literally be able to hose the car off and it be clean from dust at least...

Re the wheel... PISS take.

unless the law has changed ( and i dont think it has)_ the garage is legally allowed to keep your car until the bill is paid in full , it is then your right to take him to court for redress. but you cant withhold payment.

So easy to clean it Byron, hosed it then gentle straight wipes with a wash mitt with megs Gold class shampoo and that was it, beading is fabulous. :D

Result indeed John. The joys of a local garage. Still that niggling doubt though, as they should have told you and sorted it before handing you the car back.

Glad you managed to resolve this this morning.

Might I add that you have a couple of very nice motors there matey.

That's a great outcome.

I doubt that would have happened at a main agent!

I’m going with optimistic on this and don’t think they noticed it tbh Jon, I’ll never know so why fret about it..? ‘This but a wheel after all and will be as new.

Cheers Nige, nice they are but mental as yours they’re not..!!

Glad you got sorted and their attitude was good.
Will you use them again? I would take a guess that they’ll be ultra careful with the car next time.

For routine servicing on a 2nd hand car yes Ronk, for valve clearances etc on the M then no, I’ll do them myself or farm it out to a specialist, they’re bread and butter guys, no disrespect to them. I’m not saying they couldn’t do the valve clearances but I’d be too cautious that they either haven’t or wouldn’t treat it as I’d want.

Just out of interest, did they have any explanation as to how it had happened?
Kerb? Ramps?
Was hoping they would know what caused it and could then address the issue if it's within their workplace.

Well done for sorting it out, absolutely boils my blood this kind of thing. Just had the same from a Volkswagen main dealer. Took my pristine Touareg in for a warranty repair, came back and 3 wheels completel kerbed pretty much the whole circumference. I'm going to get a quote for a refurb with on 21's isn't cheap.

Best thing is that the wheels had rim protectors on them :headbang: Kerbed them so bad the rim protectors fell off.
