unless the law has changed ( and i dont think it has)_ the garage is legally allowed to keep your car until the bill is paid in full , it is then your right to take him to court for redress. but you cant withhold payment.

I’m going with optimistic on this and don’t think they noticed it tbh Jon, I’ll never know so why fret about it..? ‘This but a wheel after all and will be as new.

Well done for sorting it out, absolutely boils my blood this kind of thing. Just had the same from a Volkswagen main dealer. Took my pristine Touareg in for a warranty repair, came back and 3 wheels completel kerbed pretty much the whole circumference. I'm going to get a quote for a refurb with on 21's isn't cheap.
Best thing is that the wheels had rim protectors on them
