Official Quad Exhaust Modification Topic

Cool, what did you do to the 2.2 to get 185 hp? Remap? Peter at PPE is supposed to get quite a lot of hp out of the 2.2 M54 engines. Once saw a dyno rollout from a 320ci starting at 174 hp and ending up at 204 hp peak with a nice power curve.

Well guess we'll all wait for the quad pics now :-)

Looks good, they did a good job on the cutout as well. Any pics of the process? Like how the the rear muffler looks?
How is the sound?

No pics of the set-up unfortunately, they didn't even have to take the bumper of... Its a stainless steel muffler of 340mm long with 2 in- and outflows of 63mm
1 muffler only as the battery takes up too much space. A stainless steel pipe goes to the other end behind the bumper.
 
No surprise, but I like the symmetric aesthetics verry much! :thumbsup:

Is it a ) just me wining (probably: yes :D ), b ) the angle from which the pictures are taken or c )is the right set of pipes hanging just a tat lower than is left (I would say roughly 1 - 2 cm in the middle)? :?

hmmm... you might have a point there, but it's hardly noticeable. At that price you can't expect perfection I guess... It costed 500 euro for the stainless steel exhaust, the stainless steel end tips, stainless stell welds, stainless steel pipes from one side to the other, labour cost, cutout and VAT...
 
So, I've decided to bite the bullet after great feedback from Ranski and go for the Stainless Exhausts Quad option. Sent the deposit off this morning, so no reverse option. Here's a before pic and I'll post an after pic once the job is done. Fingers crossed!

:D Looking forward to the growl of that awesome engine. Sounds like a 1.6 with the standard box on! Lol

The one under the railway bridges? if so dont bother... i spunked £500 with them only to have drone and not so great finish - ended up getting a custom muffler built (as did 3 others) all info futher up this thread

Not sure about the M badges... But love the look of the quad exhaust on the z4... After a bit of research the system they are fitting is the one with the 2 silencers and might be to loud for me :cry:
