...this has NOT helped me make up my mind as to whether I should get 18s, 19s in silver or anthracite. Bugger.

19s look the business. I don't think I could go 19 thought on mine, the roads around here are absolutely shocking on 18s as it is (108s).

19s with non run flats will feel much, much nicer on the road than 18s with runflats though! :driving:

True ... but for even less money I could just have 18" non-RFTs and it'd be even nicer again ;)

Stunning... I would say that though!

Love all the CSL photos on here, they look incredible on Imola Red and Interlagos Blue, and Titanium silver.....and Sepang Bronz....and Silvery grey...

anyway, would it be possible for those posting pictures to edit their posts (or re-post) with details of where they got their wheels from, size and finish.

Personally I'd find it really helpful.

Thanks :driving:

OEM CSLs can't be bought officially from
BMW you have to get them pre owned or from a specialist I can't remember the name.

I bought mine pre owned and they came off an M3 CSL.

If you want reps then BMAutosport is the place to go. In this thread only a few of the pics are OEM. Most are reps.

I know that mine, Darren, BMWZ4M, Beedub, IK and dreamers are real OEM for those interested

Steven, actually you can still get them brand new, though I'm not sure how. Mine were brand new, from a BMW dealer. I don't have the receipt any more, but they were around £1600-1800 for the set.

Replica CSLs = (for me)

Ye it depends on the dealer discretion. I went to Lloyd BMW to order some and they said they couldn't order them for me because they were only meant for the CSL and you needed some kind of serial number off the car for them to order some.

Replica is a big  for me too especially on the ///M. No point in buying the real deal and putting reps on it. But they are expensive, but they keep their value well as they are very sought after.

But there are places you can get them just cant remember the name of the company they import them from Germany but are £1600.

I paid £850 for mine. In perfect nick not a mark but needed to buy some new tyres and pick them up from leeds, the guy that owned the CSL was tracking it so bought some lighter ones and funnily enough he had a Z4Mr too that he was running the CSLs on but had just sold it which is why I managed to get them. The newer style on the E92 are also a different fitting so you cant order those. There are also the M3 CS CSL version which are 8" on the front instead of 8.5" I think. But again hard to find.

Bought them on ebay, great advert with all the relevant pics to assure they were real, bbs stamp bmw stamp etc The guy was great too, owned a airport car park and kept his cars there also ran clio cup, caterhams and the CSL so showed me around. Was a good day out.

TBH they are like hens teeth to find and usually over £1000 with some worn tyres. Because they fit E46 M3s they are highly prized and people know they are worth money. Usually a set that need refurbing are about £750 and need new tyres. but a full refurb is £65 a wheel from lepsons so £260+750+ between 750-1000 for a decent set of rubber. Made more sense for me to wait and get perfect set, which came up eventually.

Seem to remember Darren bought the ones I was looking at on pistonheads they were a bit curbed but Darren did all the work himself and did a great job of them so got a bargain.

But I found 3 sets in 8 months that were worth considering one was a set from IK but unfortunately the deal fell through then found the ones I bought and just pulled the trigger.

If your willing to wait and pull the trigger when some come up then you will get a set

Hope so!

Many people on the forum think they are pretty common and obvious mod. But apart from the forum meets ive never seen another Z with real CSLs.

I think they really suit the car make a really big change over the OEM ///M wheel much more aggressive look.
