Well, I am not keen on UK electrical wiring anyway with old fashion ring mains and lighting circuits and cables buried in plaster in the wall. I am expecting to see wiring between double skinned walls and not on top of it, but UK houses don't often have double brick walls inside the house anyway which is the standard abroad. First thing I did when I got to the UK in the late eighties was drill through an electrical cable in my first house :lol:
Not to mention the fun if 1 light bulb goes, the whole circuit trips .... :x In the house, I have changed the light circuits into 16 independent ones to avoid that problem. In my office, I had it wired to each socket back to the consumer unit there which I much prefer as well.
