Off to buy an M/// 2nd update

Sorry gents, but I don`t agree with this one.

IMHO, most people that buy a Z4, be it M, or non-M, will buy the best car that their budget allows, and as such, if they are the sort of person to look after a car properly, ie: correctly servicing, and caring for the exterior and interior as they should, then they will do so whether they have an M, or not ?
Just because they have had the funds to spend more on a car doesn`t automatically mean that they will respect it more than someone who has has less funds to spend.

But on the other hand, Mr / Mrs Sales Rep who wants a Z4 just buys one and rags it, whilst Mrs Mrs Sales Rep will not buy and M. What I am saying is that with the M owners you will have a higher percentage of true enthousiasts amongst the buyers then with the standard range, which will contain a larger number of non enthousiasts.

Im with pvr, on this one   must just have been unlucky with the ones iv seen..
Anyway off to see a VXR8 6.0L later today :driving: first drive of one, can't wait :D

Went to look at another ZM yesterday 220 mile round trip and again I was disappointed
they said it was A1 but it was more like C1 I'm beginning to think there are no good M's
out there  or maybe I'm just setting my sights to high :?
hi, i'm wondering if you are expecting to much from a second hand sale, even on a brand new car i could pick fault. Are you looking at higher mileage and expecting zero marks, which isnt going to happen or are you looking at the cheaper end of the market. In my experince main dealers have the best cars, but you have to pay more. Whats your budget?
No, I don't think i expect to much, but when i ask the question, Are the seat in good nic and they say yes A1
and you get there and it looks like a fat lass has sat on it for 100000 miles, am i expecting to much. :?
on a budget of £20000ish would just like a good clean car, thats all :|

Think if you upped your budget slightly you'd have a bit more luck, have you viewed any main dealer cars or cars from Z4 forum owners?

non specialist indie dealers usually have the worst stock, something that BMW didn't want or the owner took a big hit on when selling

I would buy from a specialist indie like BHP of Munich Legends though.

Good luck, I hope you buy something soon, then Tony can stop giving you the hard sell on his motor :D

I'm in soft-sell mode at the moment, as I don't particularly want to sell it, and I don't want to annoy any potential buyers by pushing it and then saying I've decided to keep it because work has picked up suddenly.

If it goes, it goes. If not, I'll keep putting the miles on it.

Yeah, I`ll have that pvr. Good point, and something I do agree with.

I think you'd soon get bored with it, it's fast and noisy but it would lack the real driving finesse of the Z4MC. Still, I wouldn't mind one for a daily runabout :) .

But VXR8 is just a Vauxhall, whatever how fast it goes and how good it is. If you want a V8 saloon, what about BMW M5 E39/E60, Jaguar S-Type R, Audi RS6?

If you're a serious buyer I will bring mine to you, I am confident you will not be dissapointed.
Terry I would be taking this man up on his offer, this is right up your street. Forget the Vauxhall :poke:

Same thought occurred to me... about Shunt's and the Vauxhall! Still, am interested to see how the test drive went.
